Legislation Lesson and Workshop Plans

This simulated hearing focuses on teenage driving laws. During the classroom lesson, students learn about the differences between federal, state, and local laws, and brainstorm ways to address the high rate of teenage car accidents. The conference workshop has students simulate a state legislative hearing on a proposed law to raise the driving age.
