Personal Injury Lesson and Workshop Plans

Students will learn about different types of intentional torts and then study negligence and the elements of negligence. They will learn about defenses to negligence and apply their learning in a mock hearing.

Advertising Lesson and Workshop Plans

This lesson and accompanying workshop series introduce students to advertising law and have them participate in mini trials about a potentially deceptive ad.

Product Liability Lesson and Workshop Plans

Students learn about defective products and the elements of product liability. Then, students will represent the injured plaintiff or company defendant in a product liability mini-trial: a man was injured while using a tractor.

First Amendment – Freedom of Religion Lesson and Workshop Plans

This lesson and workshop teach students about the establishment and free exercise clauses and their application to a public school setting.

Social Host Liability Lesson and Workshop Plans

Students learn about the concepts of liability and will represent an injured plaintiff or one of two defendants in a social host liability mini-trial about a young person who throws a party while his parents are out of town.

This lesson and workshop series introduces students to the Fourth Amendment, basic warrant requirements and exceptions, and the scope and limits of searches using technology.

Basic Contract Negotiation Lesson and Workshop Plans

This lesson and workshop series introduces students to contracts and negotiation strategies and has them work in pairs to negotiate a business contract.
